This is pretty new and I really like being able to share new finds.
2nd’s was on soft opening since December 2010 and they offer revisited comfort food. By revisited, they add their own touch to make it more sumptuous. Think of things like truffle oil.

Happy New Year!
In celebration, I’d like to formally share with you my new and self-hosted site. 😀 I got the hosting as a really thoughtful Christmas present.

When we learned from Irene and Chef Ricci of Laya that they’ll be down to their last month of operation, we panicked! While it has been a successful ride for them since they opened around mid- 2009, they need to relocate to Seattle. We were definitely not going to miss a final visit to this place.

It’s that time of the year when we have parties left and right. Food is just everywhere. So we need some detox every once in a while.
We received a really nice wedding souvenir lately: a basil plant, which we have aptly decided to name Basil (yes, as in the singer :P). He, along with Pep, will be part of our slowly growing herb garden. We already have some choco mint, tarragon and rosemary so here’s to hoping we manage to keep them all alive.

Christmas came early for me when I got myself a new phone! The HTC Desire Z is HTC’s latest release. Main considerations for me was that it had a tactile keypad apart from just a full touch screen and that it could easily link to all my social networking accounts.

Of Cuban origin, a mojito is one of the most popular drinks that people order whenever they go to bars. It’s also a perfect summer pick because of the touch of lime that’s just very refreshing.

While I can’t say that I know a lot about cars, I do get a kick out of seeing really nicely set-up ones. Plus, I’ve recently discovered that I like the thrill of speed. And what good are roads if you can’t even spy some drool-worthy vehicles every once in a while?

When it comes to trying out new places, it doesn’t always have to be a newly-opened restaurant. It just has to be a discovery for you…which is what Trio was for me when I finally got to try it.
Trio offers you the dining experience of either a bistro, a pizzeria, or a wine bar. And, being the pizza-lover that I am, you can easily guess what I picked. They offer several items on the menu in threes like crostinis, brushcettas, and salads.
